Jennifer Perkins, DDS, MD, has joined UCSF’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Perkins graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2007 and the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in 2011. She completed her residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UCSF in 2013.
Dr. Perkins's primary interests are dental extractions, implants, bone grafting and oral and maxillofacial pathology. She is also heavily involved in predoctoral dental education.
“I am very excited to be starting full-time at UCSF after having spent my residency years here,” says Dr. Perkins. “I always appreciate the collegial atmosphere at UCSF and the availability of experts in every dental specialty within our shared space. Additionally, I am passionate about predoctoral education and look forward to my expanded educational role in both in my department and in the School of Dentistry as a whole.”
“We are excited to have Dr. Perkins join our group” says Brian Bast, DMD, MD, department chair. "Dr. Perkins was recruited to help develop and improve the dental student curriculum and to expand our departments clinical program. She is currently completing the year long Teaching Scholars program offered through the School of Medicine."
