Treatment is completed by a team of post-graduate residents and experienced attending dentists (see below for more information on individual dentists).

What to expect at your first appointment:

Please bring the name and telephone number of your physician, as well as a recent list of medications, allergies, and surgeries. We also recommend bringing a copy of any recent dental x-rays (within the past 2 years).

For suitable patients, an exam and x-rays are also completed at the first visit.

We are not an emergency clinic. If you are a patient of record under the care of Dr. Grimaldi or Dr. Saeed and need to speak to an on-call dentist outside of normal operating hours, please call the clinic line and follow the appropriate prompts to reach the after-hour call service.

Brief Biography: Dr. Grimaldi received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Jose State University in 1976, graduating Tau Delta Phi scholastic honor society and dean’s list commendations from the School of Science. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, graduating with a class rank of 1st in class and receiving a regents scholarship Omicron Kappa Epsilon dental honor society award as well as the Alpha Omega award for scholastic excellence. He completed residency training in Hospital Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco in 1982 with a specific focus on dentistry for medically compromised developmentally disabled or phobic patients. Dr. Grimaldi joined the University of California, San Francisco faculty in 1983 as the Director of the General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry serving in that capacity until 1987. Since 1987, he has served as the director of Hospital Dentistry, offering dental treatment in an operating room setting. Dr. Grimaldi is a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Honorary Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, the California Society of Medicine and Surgery and the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Grimaldi is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, holds state of California conscious sedation permit #2 and is qualified medical evaluator #9577 for the state of California.
