UCSF Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates offers the full scope and range of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orofacial pain services. The group occupies three modern clinics at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center campus on Parnassus Avenue.

SERVICES INCLUDE

  1. acquired and developmental craniofacial and jaw deformities
  2. acupuncture for orofacial pain
  3. care of patients with facial and dentoalveolar infections preprosthetic surgery
  4. evaluation and treatment of nerve injury
  5. facial cosmetic surgery
  6. facial fractures and associated injuries
  7. oral cancer
  8. oral pathological lesions
  9. physical therapy for orofacial pain
  10. removal of infected, malpositioned or impacted teeth
  11. temporomandibular joint disorders
  12. treatment of snoring and sleep apnea
  13. hospital dentistry-dentistry for compromised patients

Computer-assisted cephalometric analysis is utilized in the treatment planning of orthognathic surgical cases, and a laser is available in the clinic for excision of oral lesions and skin resurfacing.

The practice admits patients to UCSF Moffitt-Long, UCSF Mt. Zion, SFGH and VAMC Hospitals.

The group includes a hospital trained general dentist whose services offered include dentistry for the developmentally disabled, dental phobic or medically compromised patients. Dentistry under general anesthesia is available when indicated.
